“TOKYO–Toshiba Corporation today announced that it has undertaken a thorough review of its overall strategy for HD DVD and has decided it will no longer develop, manufacture and market HD DVD players and recorders. This decision has been made following recent major changes in the market. Toshiba will continue, however, to provide full product support and after-sales service for all owners of Toshiba HD DVD products. …”

The format war is over, and blu-ray is the winner!

All those guys out there are going to focus only on blu-ray. For hi-def lovers, lucky us! we need not to buy two players.

Also, more business focus on one thing means faster advancement. That way we could probably get cheaper price in near future. I just can’t wait to get blu-ray as cheap as dvd :P
